Fast travel is very convenient in Saints Row, but is not as prevalent as other open world titles. At the start of the game, you only get one fast travel point: your apartment (which is then switched to a home base later).
How to Fast Travel in Saints Row
To fast travel, open up your in-game phone with Touchpad/View button and select the Map app. Hover your cursor over the map until you find either your home base icon or another fast travel point, click the A/X button, and select “Yes” to the prompt asking if you want to fast travel. You will be teleported after a brief loading screen, though will not work during missions. Other than your home base, fast travel points have to be unlocked. You will discover them as you travel across Santo Ileso, and will initially appear as yellow diamond icons with a picture of train car. Once found, you need to go to that point and take a picture of what it is asking for. Simply bring up the camera with Up on the D-pad, look around until you see checkered lines surrounding the object or building, line up the shot, and take the picture with A/X button. The icon will turn purple and be a useable fast travel point. That is how to fast travel in Saints Row.
